What was the highlight of Hotel Villamarina Club

Pleasant

Reception staff were very helpful and the entertainment staff were great with the kids and keeping everyone entertained. Some of the bar staff were quite rude and when my daughter complained about one of the game machines not delivering the prize she was told "not my f@cking problem"

I understand it's an all inclusive resort, but would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms.

Pleasant but definitely would not recommend

Sunbeds were taken every day and nobody on them . Hotel policy towels would be removed. Never happened. Hotel is extremely dated in bad need to refurbish. My 4 th time here . Evening entertainment over the years has gone down it seems to cater for kids more than adults. Maybe going in August not a great idea with 2 late teenagers . Spent a lot of time outside of hotel even though all inclusive

Was a last min holiday was ok but i would probably choose somewhere else next time unless it was cheaper and we travelle

Food decent selection always warm enough ,our beds and room was nice and modern enough room for two and a baby,view out back of another hotel was nice decent drink selection for all inclusive.

Pools quite small for amount of quests in peak season and not enough sun loungers as they did gt reserved from early even tho pools weren’t ment to open till 10 pool area should be cleaned more . Not alot of seating for evening entertainment not alot around few bars n supermarket but a walk out in about 15/20 mins is Nice walk to main bit . Wernt allowed to sit out after 12 which is abit crap when yr away from main area security have a a massive attitude about this.

I enjoyed my stay at villamarina. nice staff. The rooftop terrace was nice and quiet.

I stayed here about 6 years ago and the food was lovely. This time unfortunately food was cold, I waited a few times until they replenished the hot plate but it still came out cold

What was the highlight of Hotel Villamarina Club

Good value for money

We were a group of 5 adults and 3 Children (2 families and 1 single person) Staff - All of the staff were very lovely, helpful and friendly. any issues we had were always resolved promptly. Pool - there are two pools which are on the smaller side however it is a small hotel. Both the pool and pool area were very clean and on every occasion we were able to get a sun beds. Sun beds are abit old but all in all they did the job. The only suggestion I would have would be to heat the pools however it is a 3 star hotel and we were there in April so they maybe do this in the summer. Also bring your own towel as I’m not sure they give them around the pool. Food/drinks-the food was lovely (and we had picky eaters) there was always something for everyone at breakfast/lunch/dinner. Some of the food ie curries etc were abit bland but I can understand that as they have to cater to so many people so hotter curries may not be to everyone’s taste. Personally I feel this hotel offered some of the nicest food I have had while on holidays and I’ve been to a lot of places. Snack bar - it was good and open until 5 offering chips/burgers/hot dogs/chicken nuggets. The chicken nuggets tasted abit like cardboard but the kids loved them. Restaraunt was always very clean and the staff changed around the tables promptly. You pay a euro deposit and they give you a cup which you keep and when you go to the bar you just bring your cup and get a drink. The drinks were also grand Entertainment: Entertainment during day and also The evening entertainment was good - they had the mini disco and then bingo every night, this was then followed by singers/performers and karaoke one night. The entertainment was inside and it was hot so air con would be good.

Rooms: I (the single member of the group) booked a room with a terrace. I really liked my room as it was clean and the cleaners also came in everyday. I also had a terrace which was huge and had two sun beds and a table - this meant I could chill on them and sunbathe if I wanted to chill or have some alone in the room. My only qualm was that the rooms aren’t soundproof and I had a screaming toddler next door which affected my sleep on two nights - luckily I then found my earplugs and this resolved the issue. It was April when we visited so the air con didn’t work and the sun rose on my side of the hotel which meant I was waking up in a hotbox in the morning. I asked about the air con but they said as it was the cold period they couldn’t turn it on and told me to open the door - as I was a single person in the room on the ground floor I didn’t feel safe/comfortable doing this. I extended my stay and they guy on reception told me I could stay in the same room and I told him I would pay in the morning however when I went to pay they had sold the room. This was frustrating but they were very apologetic and managed to give me another room. My next room was a family room with 3 single beds - again it was grand and clean. Suggestions/changes - a lot of school groups in which could be overwhelming. music around the pool for atmosphere Stock cider or fruit cider in bar to buy Heating the pools Soundproof rooms For the price we paid however I would say this hotel was brilliant for value. It was also only 15/20 mins walk to the beach and along the walk there is loads of shops/bars/restaraunts. There are also supermarkets 2 min walk from the hotel and there are bus stops near the hotel which you can use if you want to go somewhere else for the day. If you are going to this hotel and expecting the ritz then I would suggest booking the ritz - if however you want a budget friendly holiday which has good value for money then it’s for you

Value for money, quiet area away from the centre of Salou

Value for money, closeness to Reus airport, quiet area away from the centre of Salou.. Comfy beds, restaurant, cleaning & bar staff were really good & work very hard.

We booked half board and asked if we could upgrade to all-inclusive for a fee, but was told by the manager NO... It's disappointing after having stayed several times before & like the all-inclusive for a safety point of view & not having to carry cash or cards. Seating in the restaurant & Hotel foyer was very uncomfortable.

Worth a few days but not a week.

I paid for half board, the first night I personally didn't enjoy the choices on offer as there are a lot of foods I'm unable to eat even if they're something I like, but as the day's passed the food got better for me personally. There was entertainment each night which was a bonus, although not always to my taste.

The balcony was far too small to sit and enjoy, there were no ashtrays so used a cup with some water in it, which a lot of the other rooms were doing, as I noticed several cups outside on balconies. The bathroom was extremely small and claustrophobic, the lift terrified me as it made all sorts of sounds and made me feel like it was going to break loose and crash to the ground. Unfortunately on day 2 of our stay a large group of students checked in and were noisy, didn't obey the rules of the hotel making noise late at night and early in the morning and tracking water into the lift and leaving litter in their wake.

Good for price. Decent selection of food and drinks on the all inc. bar staff and entertainment staff were fantastic. Reception staff not so much. Evening entertainment was great. Special shout out to the queen tribute. Excellent.
